Employee Spotlight: Mark D. Mannerino

Join us in welcoming the newest member of the St JFS team, Client Advisor Mark Mannerino!

Where are you from, and where did you go to college?

I’m from Pittsburgh, PA and attended college at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA.

What drew you to StJFS? What made you want to join their team and work to further Catholic education?

Serving the Church is something I strive to do in my personal life.  St. Joseph Financial Services offered me the unique opportunity to serve the Church in a new way, through my work.  I’ve worked for years as a Director of Finance of a Non Profit Organization and have a passion for using my expertise to serve others.  Now I have the amazing chance to serve the Church and Catholic education in a new way!

What’s a big “win” you’ve been involved with that has had an impact on a parish, Diocese, or Catholic school?

I love getting involved at my parish and recently led our parish’s fraternity of men in Exodus 90, a difficult but fruitful program of Catholic prayer, asceticism, and fraternity.  I plan to lead a group again this year!

What is it like being part of the StJFS team? How would you describe the culture and people you work with?

Starting meetings off with prayer, coworkers who share your values and passion for serving the Church, teams with comparable experience and expertise working together to serve our clients; it’s fantastic.

What are your goals for your time at StJFS?

Client service is of the utmost importance…my public accounting roots are showing.  I’m looking forward to establishing great working relationships with each of my clients and coworkers.

What do you do in your time away from the office?

Spending time with my amazing wife and kids is always first on my list.  Over the last few years we’ve taken up homesteading: chickens, gardens, canning, and more to come!!! We enjoy spending time outdoors together hiking, camping, and kayaking, and sometimes I can sneak away for some pickup deck hockey at my local parish.
